The Global Mobility Architecture (GMA) Review is a methodology for optimizing a global mobility program. The term ‘GMA’ refers to an organisation’s Global Mobility Architecture, that is the combination of policies, practices, processes, organisation and technology it relies on to deliver the international mobility demanded by the business. The aim of the GMA review is to make an assessment of the appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency of an organisation’s existing mobility program, and its capacity to keep pace with changing internal business imperatives and relevant external market and social developments.
The review methodology is based on gathering sufficient inputs to support an assessment of ‘business need’ on the one hand and ‘program response’ on the other, thereby supporting the generation of a ‘fit for purpose’ scorecard. Where possible, hard metrics of ‘success’ will be gathered and compared with available benchmarks to support the scorecard conclusions.
Whereas the Program Overview Diagnostic provides a quick scan of a program - measuring its compatibility as a whole to the mobility needs of the business – the GMA Review uses, and ties together, a number of ImpaQt tools to offer a more measured assessment of the alignment of the program to the needs of the business.
Given the complexity underlying the methodology, a GMA Review is typically delivered as a consulting solution.
