Each module incorporates detailed questions about provision of information, service delivery and high-level talent and career management during the assignment. The survey modules available for completion are:
- About You - Information about the assignee and the assignment
- The Decision – Captures the factors which led the assignee to accept an international posting
- Overall - Asks about the assignee’s satisfaction with the expatriation process
- Pre-Assignment - Examines the assignee’s experience leading up to their relocation
- On Arrival - Probes issues related to the assignee’s integration into the host location
- Ongoing Support - Looks into ongoing support and issues which recur during the assignment
- Repatriation - Examines the post-assignment experience
- Conclusion - Invites any additional comments about strengths and weaknesses in the company’s support
Line Managers are encouraged to provide feedback on the outcomes of each expatriate assignment in their group. The modules for this business-focused feedback include:
- Overall - Asks about the line managers’ satisfaction with the expatriation process
- Pre-Assignment - Examines the line managers’ experience with quality of candidates and advice on making the assignment happen
- Value Drivers – Captures the factors which drive mobility in the organisation
- After Return – Looks into ongoing support and issues which recur during the assignment
- Conclusion – Invites any additional comments about strengths and weaknesses in the company’s support
- Value Outcome – Capture the line managers’ impression of the value delivered to the business as a result of the assignment
