EPM works as follows:

  • The company registers for a two year subscription to the tool
  • A survey coordinator is identified by the company as the primary point of contact
  • The survey coordinator and other key stakeholders work with their EPM team to customize the language of the survey and identify which questions to include/exclude
  • The survey coordinator approves an invitation, which is then sent to all assignees and recently repatriated staff by the EPM team to establish a baseline of satisfaction in the organization
  • Assignees, partners and line managers can complete the survey on-line in about 20 minutes
  • The EPM team reports results back to the survey coordinator and other key stakeholders in as little a five weeks from the opening of the survey
  • Invitations are issued quarterly to newly assignee and repatriated assignees and partners, as well as their line management, prompting them to complete the modules of the survey appropriate to their place in the assignment life cycle
  • Annual trend analysis meetings take place to assist an organization in tracking progress and maintaining an ‘early warning system’ to identify issues
